I've been photographing this family for a very long time. I get excited each time I see them and the 3 little girls are growing up so fast. I remember each one as a newborn. So.... I'm just the photographer and these photos of the girls are important to me and watching them grow has been amazing. Now... if these photos are pulling at MY heart strings, I can only imagine just how special they are to this Mom and Dad.
She posted on her social media today just how important photos are to her and how important it is to have them taken every year. She wants her kids to have these as they get older. They are packed with memories... every photo can bring back an emotion, a look, a laugh, and something special to hold onto now and later. :)
The tween age.... that age between little kid and big kid. It's that time of sometimes awkwardness and crazy changes. The age where parents say, "they're growing up so fast". They're involved these "tweens".... they're trying new things, new sports, new friends, checking out the latest gadgets and gizmos. And parents are busy hauling them from event to event, to sports practice, dance practice, band, school fundraisers, all while noticing what their really really good at and encouraging them to go for their dreams! And, during this time as their growing it's soooo important to document them in photos. We always photograph babies and high school seniors.... don't miss a chance to photograph the crooked smiles and smirks and sweet freckle faces. They grow up fast..... and tweens are so much fun!
We all scream for cute babies with ice cream!
This sweet little girl just turned one and what a way to celebrate. I'm looking forward to doing so many creative things in 2018! This job of mine sure is fun!!
This family is one of the sweetest! I've been so lucky to have been photographing them since 2011 ... which means that I've seen these little girls grow up.... and boy are they cute! I've been taking a photo journey with them of sorts. I've photographed such amazing times in their lives and it's been fun to capture those moments as they happen. Lucky for me, a friendship has also developed along the way where I can say to her, "Trust me" .... let's do something fun and different this time. So, off we went to one of the local coffee shops. The snow outside made the air brisk so the warm inviting coffee shop was the perfect place to capture them. They just celebrated the little one's first birthday...how can that year have gone by so fast? Again, thankful that we captured so many moments to look back on.
I'm excited for her to get these up on the walls. Looking back at old photos is a way of taking a journey and remembering paths and steps you've taken. Photos that capture memories, smiles, laughter and time with the ones you love the most are such a great thing to have.
Anyone who knows Lane, knows she is a style genius... we all dream of being as put together as she is. Like. Every. Single. Day. So, it was no surprise when she messaged me that she was wearing this little number for her maternity session. She's at 30 weeks right now and anxiously awaiting for those last 10 weeks to pass by so her and her husband Brian, can finally meet their baby boy. Lane, you're going to be such a wonderful Mom. I can't wait for you to feel a love like no other. Congratulations, Lane and Brian... amazing things are coming. :)
